Chalmers, Cory – is the CEO and founder of Crime Scene Steri-Clean, LLC, Steri-Clean, Inc., and 1-800-HOARDERS.com. He has 17 years of experience in the biohazard and hoarding remediation industry. Crime Scene Steri-Clean, LLC responds to over 500 biohazard scenes each year.

Due to the numerous volunteer and humanitarian duties Cory Chalmers and Steri-Clean have performed, they were awarded the CSP Community Service Award by the California Victims Assistance Program, The Unites States Senate, and the California State Assembly.

In 1996, Mr. Chalmers developed Steri-Clean, a division of Crime Scene Steri-Clean, LLC, to assist people overcome the severe and complex disorder known as “Hoarding”. Steri-Clean has assisted with well over 3,000 hoarding cases since its inception. Mr. Chalmers also developed and runs HoardingCleanup.com, a national database to help people across the nation find qualified help with hoarding. In the first 20 months, the website logged over 650,000 visits and referred tens of thousands of hoarders to local therapists and cleaning companies. The recent addition of 1-800-HOARDERS.com will better allow Mr. Chalmers to provide his specialty services across the country through franchises in numerous states.

You may recognize Mr. Chalmers from the hit TV show “Hoarders” on A&E where he travels the country helping clean up some of the worst hoarding cases ever scene. Despite his hectic schedule, Mr. Chalmers also volunteers hundreds of hours each year to help hoarders. In 2011 Mr. Chalmers created a new annual tradition known as “Happy Hoardidays”. This huge event focused on helping two California families completely clean their hoarded homes at no cost and through donations and volunteers provided home repairs, new carpet and paint. He is a key member of the Orange County Task Force on Hoarding, the Los Angeles County Task Force on Hoarding, The San Diego Hoarding Collaborative, and is the Founder and Chair or the San Bernardino County Hoarding Task force. He also volunteers several hours every Sunday afternoon where he runs a free online hoarding support group. He conducts free educationally based training courses on both biohazard and hoarding, and is regularly asked to be a key note speaker at conferences and seminars. He is considered a nationwide industry leader throughout the biohazard and hoarding fields. Mr. Chalmers is currently writing a self help book on the hoarding disorder which is eagerly anticipated by many.

While not working at his business, Mr. Chalmers is also a full time Captain on the Garden Grove Fire Department. He was just recently married to his lovely wife, Kathryn Chalmers and collectively they have 4 children ranging in age from 8 to 21. He loves spending his free time with his family and any outdoor adventures.
